Shaving Course

At Picasso Academy, you will learn a new skill that has become more and more important in Barbershops, beauticians and spas all over the country. Being able to offer the Hot Towel Shave service will mean you can get a better job and earn more money.

If your barbershop doesn’t offer Hot Towel Shaving, but your competitors do you will lose clients to them. Demand for Hot Towel shaves has exploded all over the country. Our course lasts for one day. We believe in participation, not a demonstration, so our course is done on a 1 to 1 basis.

The Hot Towel shave course is usually held on a Monday starting at 11.00 am. Participants need to bring two models to be shaved. The school cannot provide models.

Entry Requirements

This course requires a good level of dexterity for application, literacy for communication and willingness to explore new things.

Considerations

You will be required to purchase a uniform and a barbering kit. More details are to be provided at enrolment.

Assessment

The course will be assessed through the use of written tasks, practical tasks and oral questioning. Practical assessments will be completed at the Picasso Academy training salon.
