Cookie Policy.
This policy explains current and planned use of cookies and similar technologies on picassoacademy.co.uk. Picasso Academy is operated by: PICASSO BARBERING ACADEMY LTD (company number 15298965).
What cookies and similar technologies do
Cookies are small files stored on your device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and tags that store or access device information. Some help provide a feature you request; others can measure visits or support advertising. First-party cookies are set on the website’s domain; third-party services may also store or access information when you use an embedded feature.
What this website currently uses
Language preference: picasso-language is a first-party cookie provided by Picasso Academy. It remembers English or Farsi after you use the language button. It is set or renewed when you make a language choice and expires after up to one year. Its purpose is to provide your requested language preference, not to track you for advertising. The cookie is restricted to this site and is not readable by client-side JavaScript.
Optional Google Analytics is configured only when a Measurement ID is supplied and you accept analytics. It measures named button clicks. Advertising pixels, marketing tags and session recording are not installed. Browsing or scrolling does not count as consent.
Google Maps and external services
The footer initially shows an address and map placeholder. The Google Maps embed is not requested until you choose “Load Google map”. Loading it connects your browser to Google, which receives connection information, including your IP address, and may store or access cookies or similar technologies under its own policies. Their names and lifetimes depend on Google’s current service, your browser and Google settings; this is not an exhaustive inventory of Google’s cookies.
The map button’s loaded state is temporary component state, not a saved consent preference or a cookie. You can leave the embed unloaded and use the written address. The directions link opens Google Maps separately, where Google’s policies apply. To stop an already loaded embed from making further requests, reload the page and leave it unloaded; manage any cookies already stored using your browser or Google controls. This does not undo information already sent.
Optional button-click analytics
With your permission, Google Analytics 4 helps us understand which public buttons visitors use. We send fixed action names, a recognised page path, button placement and, for course links, the course slug. We do not send form contents, names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment details, certificate tokens, URL queries or referrers as event parameters. We do not intentionally send page-view, scroll, video-progress or automatic form events. Google may also generate basic session events.
Google receives technical connection and device information when its tag loads after consent. Analytics cookies _ga and _ga_<measurement-id> are configured for up to 180 days, subject to browser limits. Your acceptance or rejection is stored locally under picasso-analytics-consent for 180 days. Use Privacy settings to change your choice. Rejecting disables subsequent analytics and removes accessible GA cookies; it does not erase data already sent to Google. Google processes analytics data under its own policies, potentially outside the UK.
Optional marketing technologies — not active
Marketing pixels or advertising cookies can measure campaign results, connect a visit with an advertisement and build audiences for remarketing, including across websites. No such tool is currently enabled here. If introduced, we will identify the selected providers and storage lifetimes, explain the data use and obtain separate marketing consent before those technologies run. Accepting analytics will not automatically accept marketing. Free tracking software does not mean advertising campaigns are free.
Your choices and changing your mind
You can change the requested language using FA / EN in the header. You can delete picasso-language in your browser’s site-data controls; the site may then return to its default language. Selecting a language again stores the preference again. You can continue using the site without loading the embedded map.
When analytics is configured, select Accept analytics or Reject analytics in the notice. Optional analytics is off until accepted. Revisit Privacy settings at the bottom of public pages to change your choice. Rejecting does not prevent course browsing, bookings or enrolment and does not affect marketing email preferences.
Most browsers let you view, delete or block cookies and other site storage in their privacy settings. Blocking all storage may affect requested preferences or third-party features. Browser controls are an additional option, not a substitute for the consent controls required for optional tracking. Deleting storage does not delete information already held by a service; see our Privacy Policy for personal information requests.
Changes to this policy
We review this notice when website technologies or purposes change and show the revision date above. Before activating new optional tracking, we will update the information and request any necessary consent. For information about personal data, lawful bases, sharing, international transfers, retention, your rights and complaints to the ICO, read our Privacy Policy.
